After graduation from the Tbilisi State University, Department of Physics (1962-1992), worked in different Scientific-Research Institutes on the position of Scientific Researcher and Head of the Department.

Senior Scientific Researcher of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Georgian Academy of Sciences;

Head of Nonlinear Optic Department, Scientific Research Institute VOLNA”

Since 1992

took an active part in the foundation of “SAKPATENTI” where hold a leading positions in  particular the last 14 years was the Deputy General Director of “SAKPATENTI”.

Deputy Director-General of “SAKPATENTI”.

 

He made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of the National System of the Intellectual Property in Georgia, especially, in the field of protection of trademarks and geographical indications; Also made an important contribution to the processes that allowed Georgia to join the International Agreements in the field of protection of the Intellectual Property Rights; Actively participated in the conferences and symposiums having International or regional significance in the field of protection of the Intellectual Property Rights.

More than 20 works in the field of physics and protection of the Intellectual Property Rights have been published by him.

He is a co-author of two books.
